Problem sending email from iPhone / iPad

You may have recently encountered problems sending email from your iPhone or iPad due to a iOS upgrade this past Spring. To resolve this issue, please try the following:

  1. Delete the email account from your iPhone/iPad
  2. Perform a hard reset (hard reboot) of your iPhone/iPad. To do this press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo. The phone will then do a full restart.
  3. Re-add your email account with the IMAP email settings as before

This should resolve the issue.
